animals in our community and help our
office and special events run smoothly.
If you are interested in more information
on volunteering or becoming a foster parent,
please call or stop by the office during
regular office hours.
Volunteer Requirements
It takes a special person who is willing
to donate time toward a good cause. By
taking the initiative to become a
volunteer, you show your commitment to
the well-being of animals.

We would love to have you become a
regular volunteer and could use your
help in many ways! Volunteers must attend an orientation
session and have a desire to help the
Humane Society of Decatur & Macon
County.
We need people who:
are 18 years of age or older
are reliable and committed
can work independently or within a team
are good listeners and good communicators
have a sense of humor
love and respect all animals!
